Meet Halle (Hail) Encina, a second-year BS Home Economics student who bravely stepped up to the role of HE Representative for the academic year 2025-2026. Afrecita Nieva for successfully spearheading a celebration of International Women’s Month with the Female Law Enforcement Officers of the Philippine National Police of Makati. From March 26 to March 27, her celebration, Asst. Prof. Nieva arranged bazaars, pop-up shops, free haircut and make-up sessions, healing art sessions, and educational discussions that left a remarkable and empowering impact on a sector of women engaging in a male-dominated field.

The contest was held in celebration of the World Home Economics Day 2024, with the theme “Home Economics 3.0: A Critical Update.”
