Assistant Professor Llige recently earned her PhD in International Studies, Major in Development Cooperation from Ewha Woman’s University, Seoul, South Korea, where she was also awarded the Best Thesis Award. Aside from these, she also completed two certificate programs from the same university: Multiple Stakeholder Engagement and Global Women’s Studies. Prior to these, she finished her Master of Arts in Education major in Curriculum Studies from UP Diliman. In 2014, she participated in a non-degree international exchange program at Kyungpook National University, South Korea. She graduated with a degree in BS Home Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from UP Diliman.
Presently, her teaching expertise revolves around sustainable development, adult and out-of-school youth training program, household resource management, entrepreneurship, instructional strategies, curriculum planning, and teaching practicum. Meanwhile, her research areas include Filipino diaspora, family wellbeing, home economics education, curriculum evaluation, teaching strategies, and women and development.
In the Department and the College, Dr. Llige serves as program adviser for undergraduate students, thesis adviser for undergraduate students, and co-adviser for graduate students. She has also previously advised the UP Circle of Home Economists, a student organization in the department. During her international exchange program at Kyungpook National University, she interned as an academic writing assistant at the International Writing Center.
Presently, Asst. Prof. Llige is a member of the International Federation for Home Economics, International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies, Asian Regional Association for Home Economics, and the Philippine Association for Technology in Home Economics of State Colleges and Universities, where she served as a board member from 2022 to 2024. She is also a member of the UP College of Education Alumni Association and the UP Home Economics Alumni Association.
