Looking at it from afar, a program’s curriculum may come off as some sort of checklist for the students. What makes the courses different for everyone is that the journey is unique to each student, from undergrads to seasoned professionals in post-grad. In this article, we take a look back on last semester’s journeys from the perspective of students who came out victorious amidst their challenges.

The Department of Home Economics Education successfully concluded its AY 2025-2026 Home Economics Education Caravan on March 5, 2026, with Grade 11 students at UP Integrated School. The event featured department members sharing the expansive professional landscape of the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (BSHE) program.

On March 5, 2026, members of the UP Circle of Home Economists (CHEc) had a unique opportunity to explore Korean flavors through the Paldo Vina Korean Product Sampling event. 

The Department of Home Economics Education proudly congratulates their students who have successfully completed their practicum in the course HEEd 149: Practicum III Management of School Food Service Centers. Here, they shared what kind of service they have chosen to provide and how they were able to successfully execute the practicum despite their challenges and trials, succeeding with the fruits of their labor to take with them in their professions. 

The Department of Home Economics Education proudly congratulates their students who have successfully executed their business venture plans in their HEEd 134: Practicum I Entrepreneurship Education. In this article, students shared their experiences in the month-long process of trials and errors, the risks they had to take, and the fruits of their hard work that made everything all worth it.

The month of May has been a month filled with words of wisdom for the HEEd 233 Family Entrepreneurship Class as they learned straight from the stories of successful entrepreneurs of leading household names in the country.
