Assistant Professor Trinidad is a Licensed Professional Teacher with a Master in Home Economics degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Before this, she graduated with a BS Home Economics degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the same university.
Asst. Prof. Trinidad specializes in teaching the history, principles, and philosophy of home economics, as well as management of classroom environment, practicum in teaching home economics, computer applications in home economics, implementing training programs for adults and out-of-school youths, practicum in home economics and livelihood education, and practicum in management of food service centers. Her research areas include consumer behavior, family wellbeing, and home economics education.
Presently, Asst. Prof. Trinidad is the Chairperson of the Department of Home Economics Education. She also serves as a thesis and program adviser for undergraduate students. Before teaching in DHEEd, she first taught elementary and high school students in the University of the Philippines Integrated School, where she also served as Canteen Manager and homeroom, club, and student council adviser.
Asst. Prof. Trinidad is a consistent recipient of the One UP Faculty Grant Award for Teaching and Public Service from 2022 to 2024. In the 26th PATHESCU Annual Conference and Training 2024, Asst. Prof. Trinidad was recognized and awarded the Teaching Award. At the same conference, she won the Best Poster Award and the Best Poster Presentation Award the year prior.
Asst. Prof. Trinidad is the Executive Council Coordinator for South East Zone 2 of the Asian Regional Association for Home Economics (ARAHE). She also belongs to the International Federation for Home Economics, Philippine Association for Technology in Home Economics of State Colleges and Universities, and the Council of Deans and Heads of Home Economics and Livelihood Education of the Philippines, Inc. (CODHHELEP).
