The Department of Home Economics Education successfully concluded its AY 2025-2026 Home Economics Education Caravan on March 5, 2026, with Grade 11 students at UP Integrated School. The event featured department members sharing the expansive professional landscape of the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (BSHE) program.
The program focused on encouraging incoming university students to consider the BSHE program by highlighting its versatility across multiple industries. The talk featured a lineup of speakers who shared their expertise and experiences with the program. The program started with Asst. Prof. Mary Justine Trinidad to introduce the BSHE Program. Faculty members Prof. Consuelo Chua and Sir Jose Marti Bartolome provided deep insights into the degree's academic and career potential. They were joined by department staff member Guinevere Alvior and student representative Jaime Guimbao, who offered the UPIS students a comprehensive look at the program from both administrative and student-led perspectives.
