Dr. Maria Fema S. Aquino received recognition for Mentorship at the 51st DOST-FNRI Undergraduate Thesis Competition

Dr. Maria Fema S. Aquino from the Department of Home Economics Education has been recognized for her exceptional mentorship during the 51st DOST-FNRI Undergraduate Thesis Competition.
Under her guidance, former thesis advisees Carla Berino, Sarah Robielos, and Micah Banatao secured 1st Place in the Nutrition and Dietetics Category of the 51st DOST-FNRI Undergraduate Thesis Competition with their study titled “Diet Diversity and Micronutrient Adequacy of Preschool Children among Transnational Families in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.”
The prestigious event took place during the DOST-FNRI Seminar Series “Food Security for a Well-Nourished Country.” This achievement highlights Dr. Aquino’s dedication to nurturing talented researchers in nutrition research and her significant contribution to this field.
