The Home Economics Education Department aims to provide leadership in home economics research in the four integrative areas namely (a) household resource management, (b) entrepreneurship and livelihood development, (c) consumer studies and education, and (d) home economics education and training. The research agenda is geared towards empowerment of Filipino families and enhancement of home economics education in the Philippines. This study aims to provide an equivalent Filipino Language translation of the Filipino Family Wellbeing Survey. It aims to answer the following objectives:

3. Determine the validity of the instrument

The study generally aimed to create a Family Well-being Survey tailored for Filipino families. The specific objectives were as follows:
Develop a conceptualization of Filipino Family Well-being (FFW) based on the perspective of Filipino family members.
a. Develop dimensions of FFW based on the perspective of family members.
b. Develop indicators for each dimension of FFW.
Develop a Filipino Family Well-being Survey based on the dimensions and indicators of FFW.

This study generally aimed to analyze the behavioral competencies, challenges, and coping strategies of home economics cooperating teachers. Specifically, it sought to:
1. Compare the cooperating teachers’ behavioral competencies in mentoring pre-service teachers through face-to-face and online means, in terms of their perceived social role, self-image, traits, and motives;
2. Identify the difficulties they experienced while serving as cooperating teachers both in face-to-face and online mentorship; and
3. Discuss their coping strategies in addressing these challenges.

This study aimed to examine the teaching practicum experiences of home economics teachers. It focused on detailing both the successes and challenges encountered by student teachers in various facets of their academic life. The study also sought to investigate issues within Home Economics (HE) at the basic education level, drawing insights from the experiences of HE student teachers. Additionally, the research aimed to identify the factors influencing these experiences and propose recommended measures or actions to address identified issues in HE.
